It's really not polite to BRAg.

But let's face it, social media is buzzing all around the Middle East lately and we can't help but feel just a little bit prouder of our online community these days.

There is one very cool reason in particular.

Today is:

❝ WORLD WATER DAY ❞

For that occasion, I did not really Photoshop The Day** but I added a few touches to the official UN poster:

The environment and water in particular are such important issues and although it will sound clichéd to make a whole speech about our social responsibility and simple ethical duty to get involved and do whatever is in our power to positively change our behavior and the world around us; well.... Well there, I did make the speech. Moving on then.

** I apparently have time to PHOTOgraph, especially baby Mia; it seems I also have time to SHOP, mostly for diapers; but I cannot seem to be able to connect the two... PhotoShop, I do sincerely miss you, mainly because I look like crap these days and can't find a moment for myself and retouch my photos!

OK, I didn't come up with the text, but to be fair, since the Swine Flu outbreak, everyone's been thinking the same, right? :-)

So I got the text in a forward by email yesterday and I couldn't resist... Used some of the email's images: pig, chicken, cow and the lovely Ms. Green M'n'M... I'm very big on copyrights as you can see ;-)

photoshoping the day...

Today I realized I've been extremely lazy on my blog... Answering questionnaires :-) Copying NYT articles :-) although I did attempt a few original posts ;-)

One thing is for sure, I've been really lazy Photoshoping my days which is really a shame because it reinforces the reputation I have to always start things and never finish them; but I've been out of inspiration lately and couldn't manage anything... However, I decided to do what I feel (as usual) even if it's far from the style I used before.

J'avais préparé ce billet pour hier, puisque c'était hier soir que j'ai voyagé et que c'était hier que j'ai "packé" toute la journée... Mais ce billet est maudit depuis le début. Au départ je l'avais fait pour mon premier "packing", à Dubai donc. J'ai pas eu le temps de le finir... Trop de trucs à faire... Alors je me suis dit, OK... Dans tous les cas, je dois "repacker" avant de rentrer à Dubai... Donc, je l'ai sauvegardé sur Photoshop; et il y a de ça quelques jours, je l'ai ressorti et alors que je l'avais presque finit et que je mettais les dernières petites touches, je sais pas ce qui s'est passé mais Photoshop a dérapé... Le résultat? Le voila:

Comme j'avais déjà mis une éternité à faire ce putain de design, j'ai tout cassé et foutu le bordel à la poubelle!! (mes parents n'ont pas très bien compris pourquoi je me suis tellement énervée, mais bon...). Le lendemain, je me suis réveillée et j'étais décidée à le finir ce putain de design (j'ai déjà dit putain de design non?)... Alors, voila le travail... C'était fait, ou plutôt refait depuis le début (en anglais ça donne from scratch ce qui est plus précis dans notre cas :-P) et sauvegardé en brouillon sur mon blog. Je me suis dit, comme ça, même si j'ai pas le temps d'écrire le billet ("packing" oblige) au moins, j'aurai juste à appuyer sur "Publier le Message", et hop, dans la poche...

BEIN NON!

Il y a de ça deux jours, notre connexion internet s'est suicidée chez mes parents...

Donc, plus de "packing"....

Je viens de me réveiller et de me rappeler que vu qu'aujourd'hui c'est la journée mondiale de l'UNPACKING, bein, OK, quoi, it involves the exact same equipment, so why not?

Donc voila: TODAY, UNPACKING ;-)
